Our client is a premier global management consulting firm, with offices around the world, and trusted adviser to the world’s leading businesses, governments and institutions.

This is an internal role managing the brand of the consultancy. The specialist will work closely with communications colleagues including external relations, media relations, and publishing.

A large part of the role will be to expand the reach of the firm’s thought leadership.

Develop, support and execute innovative and effective external communications activity including storytelling, thought leadership, media relations, and events.

To co-ordinate the preparation and approval of media messaging and Q&As. To oversee the publishing pipeline.

The candidate will be politically aware and agile, with gravitas and confidence; they will have the personal characteristics to bring natural authority through interpersonal style.

A team-builder and collaborator. Evidence of an outstanding ability to build strong, durable networks.

This position will be based in the firm’s Dubai office, which is the heart of its Middle East operations.

Key Requirements

  • 6+ years experience in Public Relations / Communications
  • Strong strategic capability, but willing to ‘roll one’s sleeves up’ and lead the execution of tactical operations when required.
  • Superlative oral and written communications skills, with experience writing key messages, Q+As, briefing notes. Speech writing experience would be useful
  • Experience of working with large, complex organizations, and a proven ability to balance the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Experience dealing with reporters, producers and other media.
  • Successful experience operating at the top of organizations with regular exposure to senior decision-makers internally and externally. Proven success in influencing senior management in a dynamic, changing environment. 
  • A demonstrated record of developing and executing media strategies for a large, high-profile organization, campaign or brand.
  • A simplifier with the ability to develop and simplify messages about a variety of topics, business disciplines and industries.
  • Fluency in Arabic would be preferred
  • A passion for people: including great team leadership / mentoring / supervisory skills to ensure the team’s alignment around short and long-term objectives and to cultivate and develop talent.
