LOCATION: ABU DHABI

Our client is an award winning global PR agency .One of the Middle East’s most successful and well regarded corporate communications consultancies is looking to hire in a Managing Director to lead the agency.

This will involve leading other members of the management team, to build on strong existing foundations, set the future direction and ensure continued success.

Clients are drawn from both the public and private sector and across a mix of industries including energy, healthcare, education, and technology.

The successful candidate will have 15 years+ experience in the industry and be either a Managing Director or Deputy MD. 

The role involves working closely with members of the international management team, managing the P+L and driving the agency in terms of new business.

Key Requirements

  • Financial responsibility and oversight. Overseeing and agreeing financial planning and target setting. Manage and oversee reporting to international leadership team.
  • Ensuring profitability, building and developing the growth plan. Weekly / monthly reporting to Finance Director and other members of the management team.
  • Responsibility for recruiting and staffing. Ensuring a strong and training and development programme for the benefit of the entire team.
  • Client lead for key accounts. Coach and mentor to CEOs / senior leaders, providing counsel, with a proven track record in guiding C-suite clients through complex management challenges. 
  • Ensuring the highest standards of delivery. Maintaining agency standards of client satisfaction. Reviewing progress against these and ensuring these are adhered to across the agency.
  • Committed to and passionate about the business. Demonstration of personal ownership over the future of the business and its success.
  • Drives excellence across their team by acting as a role model, inspiring and motivating people and maintaining high performing teams.
  • Ensuring a supportive, nurturing and positive team and office culture whilst addressing performance issues as required.
  • Setting new business plan and ensuring delivery against this in order to secure growth objectives.
  • Leading and managing pitch processes and successfully delivering new business opportunities. Networking and developing leads – leading by example to the rest of the team.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead multidisciplinary teams/thinking both across local office and the global network.
